Last day

Kia ora e te whānau,

They say that time goes by so fast and this month has differently gone by fast.
As I close in of completing my challenge with 4km remaining I had a few things on my mind I’d like to share.
Why did I choose to support this kaupapa it was simple for me I have many whānau and friends that have needed this support.
To be able to give back in some way was an honour and a privilege.
I reached my fundraising goal I know that times are very hard for everyone a the moment so I do appreciate any support at all it means a lot and I am very grateful for the support.
Completing my 100kms was not easy but with consistent persistent activity I was able to achieve my second goal.
With a renewed refocus on my goal I decided to add an additional 100kms on to my goal making it 200kms.
To say this was going to be easy is an understatement it has been challenging with myself and my whānau catching covid and being house bound but with that in mind I have still pushed where I can.
As today I will finish off my remaining kms to complete this challenge.
I thank each and everyone one of you that have supported me.
I’ll see you at the finish line and we will all keep moving forward one step at a time.

Ngā mihi nui,
Mike

Challenge for a greater cause

Kia ora e te whānau,

I am thrilled to share some incredible news with you all. At the beginning of May, I embarked on a journey to walk 100 kilometers throughout the month to raise awareness and funds for this important kaupapa. I am delighted to announce that I have successfully completed my initial challenge and met my fundraising goal!

But I’m not stopping here.

The support and encouragement I’ve received along the way have inspired me to push myself even further. That’s why I’m extending my challenge to 200 kilometers for the month of May. This extension is not just about walking more; it’s about amplifying our collective impact and continuing to support this vital cause.

Why This Matters

Walking 100 kilometers was no small feat, but every step was fueled by the thought of making a difference. Each kilometer represents a commitment to bringing attention to our kaupapa and contributing to its mission. By extending my goal, I hope to inspire others to join in and support this effort in any way they can.

How You Can Help

Your support has been instrumental in reaching my initial goal, and I am deeply grateful. As I aim for 200 kilometers, I invite you to continue this journey with me. Here’s how you can get involved:

Donate: Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us reach our fundraising target and supports the important work we’re advocating for.

Spread the Word: Share this blog update with your friends, family, and social networks to raise more awareness.

Join the Challenge: If you’re inspired by this journey, consider setting your own walking goal and raising funds alongside me.

Looking Ahead

As I lace up my shoes and prepare for the additional 100 kilometers, I am filled with renewed determination and excitement. This challenge is not just about physical endurance; it’s about the collective effort to make a positive impact. Together, we can achieve so much more.

Thank you once again for your incredible support. Let’s keep moving forward, one step at a time, for a cause that truly matters.

Ngā mihi nui,

Michael Riley.

Day 9

Perseverance is appropriate today, w Google say it means continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure.

Support my challenge to save Kiwi hearts

This May, I’m taking part in MyMarathon to raise funds for heart research that will help save lives.

Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease.

Heart disease is the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.

Please make a donation to support my challenge and help save Kiwi hearts.

Together, we can win the race against heart disease.

Thank you!
