Beautiful walk
Such a stunning morning! Beautiful and calm! The girls watched us walk, Olli in front, running over the paddock checking his hunting spots, ducks and swans hiding around the corner again.Doing well!
Thanks to my family I’ve gotten a huge Kick Start to my Donations. So much so that I’ve decided to up it somewhat! I’m also going to put my Kilometers goal up as well! It’s great to get fit and donate at the same time.I’ve been thinking a lot of my brothers Chris and Bryan through this. Both passed from massive heart attacks. For me it’s meant a bit of a change in lifestyle,Brothers in Arms
Having had 2 brothers die from heart issues, this cause is closer to My Heart than others. One passed very suddenly which was a huge shock to everyone. The other had had a Quadruple Heart Bypass about 40 years before he passed. Literally Heart research and technology saved his life! I have no doubt that he could still be here today had world circumstances been different.The Why
Why? To raise money to help everyone gain the knowledge of how to identify a heart attack. And to educate us to have the courage to make that 111 call. You have a pain in the chest and you feel the urgency to go to the toilet … don’t - dial 111, you may be having a heart attack. This May, I’m taking part in MyMarathon to raise funds for heart research that will help save lives.
Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease.
Heart disease is the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.
